Each powerful tab provides unique data sources to help improve your app's visibility and optimize your keyword strategy.
1. Metadata
The Metadata highlights keywords directly extracted from your app’s metadata:
Title Keywords: Keywords in the app title.
Subtitle Keywords: Keywords in the subtitle or short description.
Description Keywords: Keywords in the long description.
These keywords are critical for app store algorithms, making them a key factor in improving your app visibility.
This section can also be used to evaluate how effectively your keywords align with user intent and app trends. Ensure metadata keywords are consistent with your app’s main features and target audience, as this improves both visibility and relevance. Competitor Insights help identify opportunities to refine metadata for better market alignment.
How to use Metadata:
Review the listed keywords with their Search Volume scores, which indicate their popularity in the app store.
Enable Competitor Insights (see below) to compare your metadata with competitors and identify gaps or opportunities.
Use the data to refine your app’s metadata and align it with high-volume, relevant keywords.
2. Ranked
Discover the keywords your app has ranked for over the past 90 days, updated daily. It provides insights into which terms are driving visibility and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Use this tab to monitor trends and identify keywords with the potential to move into higher-ranking positions. Keywords currently ranking just outside the top positions are worth focusing on, as small improvements could make them more visible to users. Additionally, tracking keywords with fluctuating rankings can help you identify areas where competitors might be gaining an advantage, prompting timely adjustments to your strategy. Regularly revisiting this section ensures your keyword optimizations are aligned with user search behavior and competitive dynamics.
If you are ranking for more than 50 keywords, you will be presented with 50 keywords at first, but you can click on "Load more", and you will be able to see additional results.
How to use Ranked
Filter keywords by rank distribution, volume, or difficulty to focus on your desired criteria.
Analyze performance trends for your ranked keywords to identify areas where you can improve ranking or capitalize on high-performing terms.
Use Competitor Insights (see below) to explore shared and opportunity keywords. This comparison can highlight areas where competitors are outperforming you and provide ideas for new keywords to target.
Load additional keywords by clicking Load More for a broader dataset.
Complementary: Competitor insights
Competitor Insights provides a detailed comparison between your app’s keyword and your competitors', helping you uncover gaps, shared opportunities, and untapped potential.
Competitor Insights highlights shared and opportunity keywords, offering valuable data to benchmark your app’s keyword strategy against competitors. This feature enables you to identify areas where your app can strengthen its visibility by targeting keywords where competitors are gaining traction. It also helps uncover underutilized keywords that competitors are not actively optimizing, providing a strategic edge.
How to Use Competitor Insights:
Navigate to the Competitor Insights feature in the Metadata or Ranked tabs.
Add competitors to your list via the Competitors page if you haven’t already.
Enable comparison mode to view:
Filter competitor keywords by rank, search volume, and other criteria to refine the comparison.
Add competitor keywords directly to your Tracker by clicking Track All or selecting individual keywords.
The filters you apply to the competitors' insights will only be applied to the competitor keywords and not to your own keyword lists.
When using filters on your ranked keywords, the same filters will be applied for viewing competitor metadata, so it may shorten the list of competitor keywords you see.
