Connect Your App Store Connect Account

Written by Tony Bondar

Note: In order to link your App Store Connect account, you need Admin rights.

More on the required Developer roles can be check on this official guide by Apple.

After you add your app, in your App Radar account, you will find an option to “Connect app” on the ASO Dashboard page.

After clicking on this, you will get the following step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Sign in to App Store Connect.

Step 2: Navigate to Users and Access.

Step 3: Click the + (Add button) under the People tab.

Step 4: Fill in the New User data.

Enter App Radar as the First Name and Connect as the Last Name. In the Email field, insert the address presented to you during the connection process inside App Radar (when you click "connect app", it's Step 3 where you can see the email address, e.g. [email protected] → here your account guide will suggest you an email).

Step 5: Select Roles.

  • App Manager (mandatory): Provides access to Store Listing management

  • Finance (mandatory): Provides access to App Store Performance metrics such as Impressions, Installs etc

  • Sales (auto selected with Finance): Necessary for viewing Sales and App Download metrics

  • Marketing (auto selected with App Manager): Access to edit and update app's metadata

  • Developer (auto selected with App Manager): View app information and access to app Analytics.

These roles are needed to use all features, but work independently of one another. To establish the connection, the first 2 roles are obligatory. If you don’t want to use all features, you can revoke some roles after the connection is established.

Note!

If you also need to reply to your reviews through AppRadar, please consult this Review Management guide since it requires a separate connection.

Step 6: Click Next.

Step 7: Confirm the apps you want to give App Radar access to and then click Invite.

Within 48 hours after sending the invite, you will receive an email to the Account Holder of the App Store Connect account you sent us the invite from. In this email click on the button to finish your connection setup.

Troubleshooting Broken Connections

If you need to reconnect your App Store Connect account, follow these steps:

  1. Create a New Connection:

    • Initiate a new connection within your App Radar account.

  2. Send an Invite:

Whenever you need to send a new invite, please make sure you are sending it to a NEW email that hasn't been used yet.

3. Follow Setup Instructions:

  • Complete the setup process as outlined in the invitation acceptance instructions sent after Step 2.

After Reconnection is Complete

Once the connection is re-established, your App Radar account will resume syncing data seamlessly from your App Store Connect account into the ASO dashboard. Verify that all roles and permissions are appropriately configured to avoid future disconnections.

Please note that for all freshly established connections it may take up to several hours for all data to fully sync on our end.

Why Connection Issues Occur

Connection issues typically arise due to changes implemented by Apple that affect the way App Store Connect accounts interact with external applications. Reconnecting your account ensures that your app functions smoothly and you can continue to track, manage, and optimize your app's performance.
